I first encountered WordPress in its very early days, and at the time, it wasn’t the technology I was looking for since it was still very blogging focused. When a technology I had based my entire life on was incorrectly pronounced dead by tech journalists and subsequently killed by the company that had failed so miserably as its steward, I took about a year off from actively developing applications. During that time, I started a music blog and discovered that WordPress had grown up quite a bit from the blogging platform I once knew, becoming a well-versed content management system and well on it’s way to becoming a platform that would power more than just websites. I dove in, and I haven’t looked back since!
