Bio

Senior developer, 20 years building for the web. Most of it PHP and WordPress, with dozens of client sites shipped and kept running.

I build small, sharp plugins that fix real developer pain and stay out of your way. FatalGuard is one of them — it catches the fatal error behind the white screen and tells you before your client does.

WordPress Origin Story

Twenty years ago a photographer friend needed a website to show his work. I’d studied computer science, so I was the obvious person to ask, I built it, and it stuck. Then his friends needed sites, and theirs after that. Word got around that I was “the one who could do it,” and somewhere in there the favors turned into a career.

WordPress was how I kept all those sites maintainable without rebuilding everything each time. Two decades and dozens of client sites later, I’m still the person who gets the call when something breaks, which is exactly why I build tools like FatalGuard now: so I hear about the fatal error before the client does.
