Our side business struggled with billing and payment tracking. Existing tools did not fit: Xendit integrations were incomplete, WooCommerce did not connect cleanly, quotation features were clunky, tax settings were confusing, and several operational needs were not addressed. Our workflow slowed down, follow-ups were manual, documents were scattered, and payments were often late.

Decision: build the plugin we truly needed
We mapped the end-to-end flow from creating a quotation and converting it to an invoice, to sending a payment link and reconciling. Everything needed to happen inside WordPress, without bloat and without switching apps. The targets were clear:

– Clean Xendit integration including payment links and webhooks
– Sync with WooCommerce when needed, suitable for off-cart and B2B
– One-click conversion from quotation to invoice
– Flexible taxes, including VAT and withholding, multi-rate, inclusive or exclusive
– Polished and brandable PDF templates
– Automatic due date reminders before, on, and after the due date

Invoize is born
Once the internal version was stable, we shared Invoize with the WordPress community on Facebook. The response exceeded expectations. More than 100 users tried it and added it to their daily workflow. Their feedback helped us refine essentials such as invoice numbering, currency formats, email wording, and tax edge cases.
