    Bio

WordPress plugin developer based in India. I build integration plugins that connect WordPress and WooCommerce sites to the tools teams already use, such as Slack, Discord, Telegram, CRMs and automation platforms like n8n, Make and Zapier.

I am the author of Hookbird, a free plugin that sends site events like new orders, signups and failed logins to any app, with a background queue, retries, signed payloads and a delivery log.

My background is full stack development with PHP, JavaScript, React and Node.js, along with OAuth, SSO and enterprise integrations. I am open to freelance and contract work on custom WordPress plugins and integrations. More about me at whoisakash.com.

    WordPress Origin Story

I started working with WordPress by building custom plugins professionally, mostly integrations that connect WordPress sites with enterprise systems through OAuth, SSO and CRM APIs. Along the way I saw how often small site owners need the same kind of connection: a message in Slack when an order comes in, or an automation in n8n when someone signs up. Hookbird is my first free plugin on WordPress.org, built so anyone can do that without writing code.
