Melanie Martin speaks to small business owners, non-profit organizations and community groups on building a foundation of marketing knowledge, to uncover core concepts of marketing to help their business/organizations grow.

Through her company, Webrite Design Solutions, Melanie has been providing web development and web graphic design services and website hosting services for over 18 years. An international company, Webrite specializes in custom WordPress, WordPress Security, E-learning websites, and Email Marketing Services.

WordPress Origin Story

In 2006 a client asked about the ability to manage their own website and had heard about WordPress. I began dabbling in WordPress, to enlighten the client but also to learn more about using WordPress as a website platform. With the advent of responsive design, it became much easier to develop using WordPress and plugins. I was able to create full fledge e-commerce sites, learning sites and so much more. I enjoy developing websites through WordPress and have been using it ever since. I still develop HTML websites and am proficient, but if a client wants to manage their site, I always recommend WordPress as my software of choice.
