Business application developer for many years, retired (very early) in 2000. So far I have worked on one website, and created one from scratch. Still learning, but having fun with it.

WordPress Origin Story

I have quite a bit of computer background, but had never done any website development. I was asked to assist with a website for a U.S. Congress candidate. The person who created the website is an experienced developer and made himself available to answer questions when I ran into problems. I enjoyed working with WordPress so much that I decided to try developing a website for my husband. It’s still a work in process, but I am pleased at what I have been able to accomplish as a newbie. The website is OrchidArtByCharlesHess.com.
