WordPress Origin Story

I was a devoted Movable Type blogger. Then MT changed their policy and ended the free ride. Understandable, even then when most things were free online. I reluctantly changed to WordPress. Don’t think I became a WP fan right away. I also tried GreyMatter, Melody (when it came along) and of course I already knew Blogger (Blogspot) well. However, no matter which other CMS I worked with I came back to WordPress because WP has the community support. This means it has the features, the plugins and the help when you look online for solutions. I began creating my own sites in 1998. Most of that time I’ve been using WordPress, but I still do it my own way.
