WordPress Origin Story

My WordPress journey started when I wanted to build a website without having to learn everything about web development from scratch. At first, I was simply experimenting choosing a theme, adding pages, trying different plugins, and figuring out why something would suddenly stop working!

What started as a small project quickly became a genuine interest. I loved how WordPress gave me the freedom to turn an idea into a real website and then keep improving it as I learned more. Over time, I became more comfortable with themes, plugins, customization, performance, and troubleshooting.

The biggest thing WordPress taught me was that building for the web doesn’t have to be intimidating. There is a huge community of people sharing knowledge, solving problems, and creating tools for others. That community aspect is a big part of why I’m still involved today.

Looking back, I didn’t really “join” WordPress at one particular moment. I discovered it by trying to solve a problem, kept learning because it was fun, and eventually realized I had become part of the WordPress community.
