Accessibility consultant and inclusive designer at Tangity Design, a NTT Data company.
Computer geek, blind since birth, Elena Brescacin works to find best solutions to everyday life’s challenges through technology.
She’s also involved in HIV awareness advocacy and has become a content creator thanks to WordPress. Current maintained blog is called PlusBrothers – Italian and English – where stories about HIV-related stigma and experiences are published. Fediverse and open source software ambassador where possible.
Talksina is the old nickname, it’s here as WordPressOrg gives no possibility to change it, but Elettrona is the new identifier on the Internet.

reading books, writing stories, true crime podcasts, testing products and software for accessibility, HIV advocacy, chess and word games play

WordPress Origin Story

Enjoys testing accessibility features for content management systems, and now experimenting the newest wordpress platform for building a site containing tales against HIV social stigma. Experimenting site’s translation in English with custom post types and templates only. Speaker at WordPress Core Days 2024, WordPress Accessibility Day 2024, WordCamp Verona 2023 and WordCamp Italy 2021.
