WordPress Origin Story

If someone asked me how I got into WordPress, I wish I could say it happened in a dramatic way—like lightning struck my laptop and suddenly I knew PHP.

But no.
My story is far more realistic… and probably funnier.

More than 12 years ago, I was a curious guy with big ideas and absolutely zero patience for platforms that made simple things complicated. I wanted to build websites without feeling like I needed a PhD in rocket science.

Then one day, I installed WordPress.

That moment changed everything.

At first, WordPress and I had a “love–confusion” relationship. I would tweak a theme, break the layout, panic, fix it, and then… break it again. But with every late-night experiment, every tutorial, every moment of frustration and triumph—I began to realize something:

WordPress was not just software.
It was a canvas.
A playground.
A teacher.
A friend.

Slowly, I understood its rhythm.
I learned its logic.
And before I knew it, I wasn’t “using” WordPress anymore—I was mastering it.

From building simple sites to developing custom plugins, architecting large systems, crafting dashboards, integrating ERPs, and creating complete ecosystems like RideHub and ST Filters, I grew alongside WordPress as it evolved from a humble blogging tool into one of the most powerful platforms on the internet.

And the truth is…
WordPress shaped my career.
It sharpened my problem-solving, fueled my entrepreneurial spirit, and gave me the freedom to create without limits.

Sometimes people ask me:

“After all these years, aren’t you tired of WordPress?”

Not at all.
If anything, our relationship has matured.
I break fewer things now. (Usually.)
And when I do, I fix them faster. (Mostly.)
And yes, I still get excited when I open a fresh functions.php file—don’t judge. 😄

Today, with 12+ years of hands-on experience, I still feel that same spark I felt on day one.

Because WordPress isn’t just part of my work.
It’s part of my story.
Part of my growth.
Part of who I am as a developer.

And I couldn’t be more grateful for the journey.
