WordPress Origin Story

I was 16 and interviewed for a web development job. The employer said, “These sites look great, but what is your experience with WordPress?”. I binged Morten Rand Hendriksen’s tutorials on Lynda for creating custom themes and rebuilt my personal site on WordPress in two days (I miss having 18 hours a day with no responsibilities). I presented it, and it was a done deal! From there, I continued to use WordPress for the majority of my website builds and will continue advocating for it.
