Bio

Hi! I’m Steve, Co-Owner and CTO at Equalize Digital, makers of the Accessibility Checker. I’m an entrepreneur, accessibility advocate, and a WordPress Core Contributor. I regularly speak at WordPress events and co-host the Accessibility Craft podcast.

Interests

When I’m not creating WordPress products or contributing to the community, I enjoy spending time with my family as a husband and father. I’m also a hobby musician, finding relaxation and creativity in playing the guitar.

WordPress Origin Story

I first discovered WordPress in 2007 with version 2.1 and began my journey by building websites using the GlossyBlue theme from n.design studio. Over the years, I’ve developed custom and enterprise WordPress websites, creating unique solutions with custom Sass built on top of WordPress. My passion for the platform led me to develop several plugins and contribute to WordPress core, particularly focusing on accessibility fixes to make the web more usable for everyone.
