    WordPress developer and site maintainer based in Virginia. I build and manage WordPress sites for small businesses and spend a lot of time diagnosing the things that break quietly — plugin conflicts, database drift, cron failures, bot traffic. WP Canary came out of that work: a monitoring layer that watches for those failures and explains what it finds in plain English, rather than leaving you to read log files.     WordPress Origin Story

    It all started when I was a front-end developer on Magento builds for Fortune 500 companies, in a world where a site going down was measured in lost revenue per minute — so there was monitoring, alerting, and someone watching the graphs. WordPress came much later.

    What I found was a platform that gives small businesses a real presence, which is no small thing. But WordPress at scale is a different animal, and growth brings change that nobody’s watching for. A plugin deactivates after an update. Database tables drift. Bots hammer 404s for weeks. WordPress will let all of it happen without a word.

    WP Canary is the thing I kept wishing existed: background monitoring that catches those quiet failures and explains them in plain English, for people who don’t have a DevOps team.

    I’m also a REALTOR®, which means I’m my own user — my business depends on a WordPress site staying up. It also gets me out from behind the monitors long enough to remember there’s another world out there.
