    WordPress Origin Story

    My first encounter with WordPress was at a WordCamp in Bluefields, Nicaragua, a very small town.

    At the time, I had just started college, and my financial situation was quite challenging. I even considered changing my career. Who would have thought that learning about WordPress would completely change my perspective and spark my passion for PHP and this technology stack? Despite having only a basic understanding of C++ and no knowledge of web development, I was inspired.

    Since then, I have worked with PHP, MySQL, web core technologies, and eventually delved into WordPress and WooCommerce. I often wonder where I would be if I had switched careers, but I’m currently thriving and truly enjoying my time as a developer.

    I hope to one day work with the core WordPress team. After all, it’s thanks to this technology that I’m where I am today.
