    Bio

    I’m a WordPress web developer and Linux server admin. I work with a small, agile team of WordPress developers, SEOs, and accessibility specialists at IvyCat Web Services, based in Red Wing, MN, USA.

    We help create, market, and improve high-performing websites for businesses, institutions, and non-profits that want to maximize their web presence.

    I’m jumping rope or shuffling like a maniac when I’m not working. It does wonders for my health, both physical and mental.

    Web dev, audiobooks, non-audio books, movies, animals, and driving.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I found WordPress after it was forked from b2 and dove right in, quickly switching from making static HTML and CSS sites to WordPress-powered sites.

    I attended my first WordCamp in 2007 in San Francisco, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve volunteered on the Docs and Support Teams.

    I organize and run the South Sound WordPress Meetup (2nd Saturday @ Noon Central/10 am Pacific) and the Red Wing WordPress Meetup (3rd Saturday @ 10 am Central/8 am Pacific).
