Started using WordPress / Woocommerce in mid-2018 to help a friend build an online shop selling essential oils. Starting with no web experience, I used plugins to get much of our original functionality, then found I could use PHP snippets to make simple customisations to our site. Now, the bulk of our functionality is achieved with PHP functions and WordPress/Woocommerce hooks.
It’s great being able to customise a site how we please, without worrying about maintenance of the core code. So thanks to WordPress, Woocommerce and the thousands of developers who provide this great platform!
