WordPress Origin Story

I found about WP in 2003 when I needed a replacement for my international XOOPS CMS powered communities. It wasn’t until early 2015 that I got pretty annoyed with how few plugins were translated in NL_nl locale, and how many of my fellow Dutch WordPress developer buddies were using tools like Loco translate instead of contributing to the WP repository translations. That’s when I created a WordPress.org account; lead by example, translate what I use / like just once, do it right, for others to benefit too. Feel something is missing?
