    Bio

    Backend developer with 18+ years building web applications in PHP, with deep experience in WordPress plugin and theme development. I’ve built systems across e-commerce, automotive, and healthcare, integrating multiple APIs and optimizing databases for high-traffic applications. On top of that, I design and operate AWS environments with Terraform for production workloads, so I understand the full picture from code to deployment.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I discovered WordPress in 2008 on my first professional job, when a client needed a website built on it. My task was to take their existing HTML design and make it work as a CMS. What surprised me was how much documentation and community support existed compared to everything else at the time, when most things were still built from scratch.
    From there I kept going deeper: corporate sites, multi-user systems, even a government site. WordPress has been part of my toolkit throughout my entire career, at different levels of intensity depending on the project, but always coming back around. These days I manage several sites, develop custom plugins, and keep maintaining and extending existing codebases.
