John is the Head of Developer Relations at Paladin Cloud and is passionate about connecting people and evangelizing the value of open source. He has been growing open-source communities for half a decade, focusing on educational content and thought leadership.

John lives near St. Louis, MO, with his wife and a clowder of cats. Apart from work, John enjoys playing board games with friends, trying new food, and reading with a cat curled in his lap.

WordPress Origin Story

John has been a web developer since 2007 and fell in love with open source in 2013 when he took a job developing WordPress sites at Washington University in St. Louis. When WordCamp US came to St. Louis in 2019, he volunteered as an organizer.
