WordPress Origin Story

My WordPress journey started with a simple curiosity. I wanted to understand how websites actually worked instead of just using them. At first, I experimented with installing WordPress on my local computer, breaking things, fixing them, and repeating the process over and over. Every error became a lesson, and every successful page gave me the motivation to keep learning.

What began as customizing themes soon turned into writing custom code. I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and eventually started building my own themes and plugins. I became fascinated by how WordPress could be extended to solve real problems instead of relying on dozens of third-party plugins.

Over time, I started creating plugins focused on performance, security, and improving the website-building experience. Seeing people install, use, and appreciate something I built was a turning point. It made me realize that open source isn’t just about writing code—it’s about helping thousands of people build better websites.

Today, WordPress is more than a CMS to me. It’s the platform that transformed my curiosity into a career. I continue learning, contributing, and building tools that make WordPress more powerful, easier to use, and accessible for everyone. Every new plugin, feature, and challenge reminds me why I fell in love with WordPress in the first place.
