    Bio

    I’m Winstina, a community and core contributor bridging a 20 year career in transportation planning with 10 years of open source leadership. I host NYC meetups, co-organize WordCamps, and founded Support Inclusion in Tech (SiNC) in 2022, a program with partners that has supported speakers and contributors in the WordPress community from five continents and the Caribbean. Technology and transportation planning are both, at their core, about connecting people to opportunity.

    WordPress Open-Source Project:
    Founder, Support Inclusion in Tech (SiNC): 2025: Expanded organizational scope to provide funding for contributors.

    2024: Designed and launched our first mentorship cohort focusing on professional development.

    2023: Championed global representation with partners by paying the travel and hotel expenses of underrepresented speakers across five continents.

    Organizing and Event Planning: Local and national leadership. Organizer for WordCamp US, Lead Organizer for WordCamp NYC, and ongoing organizer for NYC community meetups.

    Media & Advocacy: Co-hosted #WPTalks with Daniel Schutzsmith, a bi-weekly live audio series focusing on mental health, culture, and the human side of WordPress.
