Bio

I build & maintain WordPress sites and provides various digital communication services through my one-person company Ingersoll Interactive. I’ve been creating for a long time, working for a newspaper, a digital agency startup, and an international logistics company and now enjoys working with select clients and organizations that do good for our communities. I’ve been using WordPress for 10 years. Self taught, I am a bit addicted to helping others solve their WordPress challenges in various online groups. I am co-organizer and presenter for the WordPress Hartford, CT Meetup group.

Interests

Build and maintain websites, with a focus on nonprofits and organizations that positively contribute to society. Using AI to do amazing things.

WordPress Origin Story

I was worked for a newspaper from a time before the Web, and was lucky enough to be part of a small New Media team that first put the paper online. Our web server was literally under my desk and I used IIS then ColdFusion connected to an MS Access database. I also built my own Intranet CMS for the paper. After leaving the paper for a digital agency startup and then to a global logistics company, I discovered WordPress and how much better it was to be part of this huge community than trying to invent things on my own. PS. I’m still not really a coder – I’m just really good at connecting this to that, working with data and databases, and using variables.
