My earliest encounter of WordPress was back in 2019, when I was in my college time. My mum bought a web course and ended let me finished it, that’s where I learn bits of the software.

My WordCamp journey started off from a WordPress Invitation from my dear friend on 2024, where he asked me to design the meetups logo and Wapuu. He planned to have our city very first WordCamp (WCJB25) at that time. I then visited WordCamp Malaysia 2024 (WCMY24) to learn about the ins and outs of the event.

From there, comes a lot of ideation in terms things me and my friend can do in (WCJB25). I’m handling mainly design part of the event, providing design needs from social media to website, to event printables and swag. Very unique experience thru out the months of learning from various people, and very happy to meet new friends!!!

Mid 2025, right after event (May 17th), me and many others where informed there will be WordCamp Malaysia 2025. So embark another journey as organizer Xd, with different people all around Malaysia, mainly handling design as previous and little bit of communication task.

The event (WCMY25 Dec 6-7) turn out to be very successful according to Lead’s statistics. I met more and more people from different background, countries and occupation, learning the reason people be in this community, supporting the this open source project.

That spark the spirit inside of me.

An unique situation happened, where the same friend that asked me to joined our city first WordCamp, happens to be organizers of (WCA26), saying it still needs helping hand. That’s where I embark another journey this time, as an organized in a bigger scene, as part of WCA26 design team.
