Welcome to my page! I’m thrilled to be here and to connect with fellow open-source enthusiasts. My name is Sascha Endlicher, and I’ve recently relocated to the beautiful city of Munich, Germany. Let me tell you, nothing gets me more excited than the power of open-source solutions. I’m also incredibly passionate about immersive technologies, like (stereoscopic) 6DOF 360, and virtual reality. WordPress Origin Story

Back in 2001, when I was just a student, I cut my teeth as a core developer of the Content Management System PostNuke. That experience put WordPress on my radar, especially in the early days after its fork from b2/cafelog. While many of my peers made a pit stop at Joomla, I was always a WordPress aficionado who dabbled in coding for other PHP applications. After all, WordPress was the dependable software partner that simply “just works”.

Fast forward 19 years later, and I’ve finally come to the conclusion that it’s time for me to give back to the project that’s given me so much. So, with a little bit of excitement and a healthy dose of nostalgia, I’m thrilled to contribute to the WordPress community in my own small way. Here’s to the next chapter of my WordPress journey!
