WordPress Origin Story

For more than 15 years, I’ve managed a WordPress website with passion, consistency, and pride. But earlier this year, something unexpected happened—something that shook me, frustrated me, and ultimately changed the direction of my life.

Suddenly, my site was flooded with referral traffic from another website—more than 50 times my normal traffic. At first, I thought it was a mistake, but it kept coming. Bots hit every page, every hour, destroying my real analytics. I lost all my metrics, all my ability to monitor my growth, all the data I had relied on for years.

I tried everything—blocking tools, filters, rules, firewalls—but the traffic was random, millions of IPs, constantly changing fingerprints. It felt endless.

So I reached out to the owner of the referral site, politely asking them to stop sending spam traffic to my website.

The message I received back is something I will never forget:
**“I know your website better than you do. I know every detail. Your site is a competitor to my service—and I want to crush it.”**

In that moment, something shifted inside me.
I realized that after more than 13 years working in development and AI, I had the skills to go beyond fixing the problem—I could **reimagine analytics itself**. Why not build a system capable of deeply understanding real user behavior, separating humans from bots with precision, restoring true insights, and giving website owners complete control over their data?

A platform that doesn’t just track numbers, but *interprets* them.
A platform that protects accuracy, privacy, and truth.

And that’s how the idea for **OptiUser** was born—my own company, built to develop applications that can reshape the WordPress world.
This story isn’t the end… it’s the beginning of what comes next => https://optiuser.com/

Fix: Saving Traffic Classification settings no longer resets the "Track admin users" preference — the admin tracking setting saved on the same tab is now preserved instead of being silently re-enabled.
