    Invader Digital Inc. is a one-person WordPress plugin company, run by Nate Wren, an independent developer and designer in Temecula, California.

    Focused plugins rather than suites, data that stays in your own database, and no support layer between you and the person who wrote the code.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I came to WordPress sideways, through design. I spent years making icons and graphics, then started designing websites, and WordPress kept turning out to be the thing those sites were built on. Learning it properly stopped being optional.

    Client work taught me how to fill gaps in website functionality. Most of my plugins started as something I needed on a real site and could not find, or could find only by installing an entire suite to get one feature. At some point it made more sense to build them properly and share them than to keep rebuilding the same thing on every project.

    Still at it, and still learning something every time a plugin meets a site I did not anticipate.
