    Bio

    I’m a freelance WordPress website designer with experience building, redesigning, maintaining, and managing websites for small businesses and independent professionals. My work includes WordPress builds, redesigns, page updates, troubleshooting, launches, ongoing maintenance, content organization, navigation, and visual design.

    I’m especially good at taking a website that feels outdated, disorganized, or difficult to manage and turning it into something clear, polished, and easier to use. I’m comfortable working independently, communicating directly with clients, and managing projects from initial concept through finished production.

    My background also includes graphic design and digital production, so I can create supporting graphics and branded materials as part of a larger web project. I’m currently open to remote freelance, contract, part-time, and project-based WordPress and web production work.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I first got into web design while studying multimedia at College of Marin. I built a website for my band using HTML and CSS, and before long, other people started asking me to help with their websites too.

    As those projects became more complex, I started exploring content management systems. I tried Drupal and Joomla, but WordPress quickly became the platform I preferred. I loved the flexibility it gave me to bring my own designs into functional websites without losing the creative side of the process.

    From there, I kept learning WordPress by solving real client needs. Over time I worked with custom themes, custom post types, increasingly complex site structures, and eventually moved with WordPress into block-based and Full Site Editing workflows.

    The tools have changed a lot over the years, but the part I’ve always enjoyed most has stayed the same: designing clear, useful websites, organizing content thoughtfully, and figuring out practical solutions for clients as their needs evolve.
