    WordPress Origin Story

I first ventured into the world of WordPress in 2007, when I was asked to teach a course on it. Since then, I have taught WordPress at various educational institutions while continually expanding my own knowledge and expertise.

Along the way, I have helped bloggers and small businesses build their online services and websites using WordPress. These days, I also supervise theses that explore WordPress from different perspectives.

Through conversations with hundreds of people about WordPress, I have heard a wide range of stories and experiences, and I have seen first-hand what works well and what can be more challenging for people to learn and adopt.

Today, I am particularly interested in exploring what artificial intelligence can bring to this ecosystem and how learning and professional competence evolve alongside it.

My hope is to bring the WP Credits programme to Finland and to my own institution in 2027.
