WordPress Origin Story

I started using WordPress in 2008 when I needed a CMS for an online design magazine. The project ran for a couple of years before I moved on to other things. During this time, I learned how to create basic WordPress themes. This helped me land a support job at GraphPaperPress. Eventually, I landed a job at OntheGoSystems (creators of WPML), and I currently work for Liquid Web as a tech support agent.
In 2013, a couple of friends and I started the WordPress Mexico Facebook group. We successfully hosted the Mexico WordCamp from 2015 to 2019 and established numerous meetup groups.
This has been an incredible journey where I have met wonderful people from all walks of life and from different places around the world.
