    WordPress Origin Story

    I kept seeing site owners afraid to upgrade PHP because they didn’t know which plugins would break. As a software engineer, I wanted a clear answer to that question, so I started building a tool that scans the code and shows exactly what changes.

    I'm building CompatNav, a WordPress plugin that scans every installed plugin and theme locally and reports, in plain language, what will break or change when upgrading PHP. My focus is accuracy: every rule is checked against real PHP versions, so users get a short, correct report instead of thousands of warnings.
