Bio

In 2003 i tried b2/cafelog (basis of WordPress) and I liked it. Many years later I found WordPress – and (still) loved it on first sight – ah second sight. Starting in 2016 I worked in the team of WordCamp Vienna for about three years, and helped organizing the WordPress Vienna Meetups.
Since about 2014 I run my own WordPress-Server at ionos/1und1 and my own web-infrastructure in the cloud (backup, secondary DNS, servicetools etc.).

WordPress Origin Story

In 1999 I started working in my company (Software-Schmiede GmbH., Vienna) with the LAMP-based CMS “Midgard”. From 2003-2007 I switched my projects to “Typo3”. Afterwards I moved from Internet- to intranet-projects based on SharePoint, and I was working primarly for Microsoft partners. From about 2008 onwards I used WordPress as a web-CMS for my private projects. In 2016 I founded again my own company: Martin Mucha e.U.: WordPress is a very central offer in my portfolio.
My customers are friends, NGOs, and very small companies. Besides WordPress I still run Microsoft Office 365/SharePoint/MS-Teams-Collaboration Cloud-Services for NGOs.
