Mind Doodle provides an online workspace for mind mapping and project management. Users can create a free or paid account to manage projects creatively and productively in a collaborative team environment. Team features include live chat which integrates with Slack and real-time on-screen updates so all team members can collaborate transparently without refreshing their page.

Mind Doodle has created a plugin for WordPress, which reimagines sitemap creation. The plugin allows you to create visual sitemaps, much like how you create mind maps. However, it’s not just a visual tool. The plugin builds WordPress pages for your site as you add them to your sitemap. You can drag and drop pages to update the hierarchy of parent/child pages, expertly crafting your site by refining the information architecture. You can create new sites or work with existing WordPress sites.

The plugin transforms team workflows with task management within the WordPress dashboard. Tasks related to any page can be added when a bug is found or work is required. Assign the task to the team member responsible, add further information and time estimates. After adding the tasks in WordPress, work through all tasks in your Kanban-style task board in Mind Doodle, where you can create sprints to follow agile project management.

WordPress Origin Story

Mind Doodle was founded by Rich Hill, who has been a long-time WordPress community member and is co-organiser of WordCamp Bristol 2019.

With more than a decade of experience running businesses in the software industry, Rich has shared his knowledge through talks and workshops on entrepreneurship and creative project management.

Rich also founded FlexiDB, and both FlexiDB and Mind Doodle have had presence at WordCamps all over the world, including WordCamp US, WordCamp Europe, WordCamp Boston, WordCamp NYC, WordCamp Phoenix, WordCamp Bristol and WordCamp Brighton.

Mind Doodle team members are encouraged to contribute to WordPress and many are active members of the community. Marketing Manager, Tess Coughlan-Allen, is Communications Team Lead for WordCamp Europe 2019 and has co-organised the first do_action day in Europe, as well as local Meetups.

Four of Mind Doodle’s team have given talks and workshops at WordCamps and Meetups.
