Bio

After 50+ years building software in assembly, C, C++, C#, Object Pascal, and Delphi for the medical industry, I wrapped up my career as a System Architect for one of the largest laboratory companies in the USA.
These days, I’ve traded compilers for browsers—building WordPress sites with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I work primarily with Elementor and Bricks, creating websites for twelve-step groups and community service organizations.
My motto: “If it’s not fun, what the hell are you doing in the business?”
I believe great software should solve real problems and be a joy to create. That’s what I bring to every project.

Programming, more programming, foundations of math, logic, Roses, Woodworking, Peace.

WordPress Origin Story

Picture this: decades as a systems programmer, building operating systems and compilers for medical companies. Low-level code, zero visual design.
Then a friend calls: “You can code anything, right? We need a webmaster. HTML? CSS?”
“How hard can it be?” (Famous last words.)
Several books then, finally, one 30-page HTML monstrosity later, I realized I’d built web spaghetti.
Then, on LinkedIn, I ran into an Elementor course. Game changer. Fast. Fun. Visual. Everything I loved about programming, but with immediate results people could see and use.
Now I’m all-in: WordPress sites, code snippets, plugins. Same obsessive problem-solver, completely different playground.
Bonus: Building sites for twelve-step groups and community organizations? Way more meaningful than debugging compiler edge cases at 2 AM.
