Bio

I am Ludwig You, a WordPress developer since 2016, trainer and coach specialized in this CMS. I am the co-founder since 2017 of the company WEBDECLIC SAS based in Paris in the 17th arrondissement.

I am passionate about web development, specialized in WordPress, I have developed extensions to extend the functionality of existing plugins such as Woocommerce, or for a specific need from scratch.

WordPress Origin Story

I started on WordPress like everyone else, installing plugins left and right with the frustration that there was always a missing feature or the design was not adaptable enough, not to mention the freemium themes or the overloaded themes for no reason.

Over time, I learned to sort through the extensions and install fewer of them. I discovered Visual composer at the time, which became WP Bakery, which was great at the time … but with many bugs and not a great user interface.

A turning point in my career
Once I had a good handle on the visible part of the iceberg that is WordPress, I tackled the submerged part. Like everyone else, I had copied and pasted pieces of code from the internet into the famous “function.php” file, but nothing too crazy so far! So I took the bull by the horns and started creating small plugins with 2-3 features each time.

A forced awareness of security
Since then, I have never stopped improving my skills in WordPress development. Some have read and reread novels … for me it’s the WordPress technical documentation that I have been reading through for years.

Another skill I have developed is repairing hacked WordPress sites, following an adventure on one of my sites. I have trained extensively on the subject so that this never happens again.

One thing led to another and I ended up repairing the sites of people who had experienced the same kind of misadventure, and also securing them in the process. To date, I have repaired and secured more than 50 WordPress sites.

To date, 0 hacked sites after my security pass!

As a trainer and coach
I have given training to groups of 2 to 10 people to learn the basics of WordPress, installation, configuration, etc … for a while, today I prefer to give personalized advice individually by providing regular coaching sessions to developers wanting to perfect their knowledge of the WordPress CMS.
