    mental health advocate (I myself have Bipolar disorder, quite well managed with medication, but I know what it means to live with such problem, so I try to point out things healthy people don’t necessarily understand, when talking about mental health issues)

    WordPress Origin Story

    20 years ago I have been doing a bit of website developing on Joomla.
    I’ve managed to learn quite a lot, all self-taught. When my personal life changed, I stopped.
    Ten years later, I had another big change and now have time to work on web again.
    I wanted to make my own website exactly as I imagined it.
    When I looked at Joomla, I realised so much changed that trying to override my previous knowledge would be a steep learning curve.
    So I looked at other options, found WordPress and rest is history.
    Great platform, easy to learn, lots of plugins, easy customisation.
    What else would you need for your pet-project?
