Bio

With tech, I like to work with clients to design, create and maintain websites that meet their vision and needs. I also enjoy teaching software, being careful to be sensitive to understanding the extent that one wants to learn technical details, and offering to take on any of the production details that clients would rather not handle themselves.

I welcome the opportunity to learn more about how I may be of service. I’ve seen that there is always more to learn from users, and I enjoy acting as an intermediary, helping to document and address their important issues. I pride myself on my communication skills, and I have proven success in development, testing and implementation using a wide variety of software systems.

I’ve taught groups and coached individuals using many kinds of software including WordPress, Squarespace, Google Workspace, Analytics, Search Console, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, QuickBooks, and more. For the past 10 years or so I have focused my work on WordPress websites and since 2017 I’ve been teaching a class at our local Maker Space called “To Democratize Publishing! – An Introduction to WordPress” todemocratizepublishing.wordpress.com

Interests

Way beyond tech, my main loves are my family and music. As far as music, I’m pretty eclectic! Here’s more about my music at lintonhale.com/music

Here are some of my other interests at lintonhale.com/writing-and-community

I’m also a Morris dancer! appletreemorris.org

WordPress Origin Story

After recovering from C++, MS Access and SQL, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, ColdFusion and Drupal, I’m happy to have fallen in love with WordPress. I think it’s become the winner because it was designed by writers, and because the priority has always been to create and support community.
