My Journey into WordPress

I hold a Diploma in Computer Engineering from GTU. After graduating, I was uncertain about my career path — a feeling many fresh graduates know well. On the advice of mentors and family, I enrolled in a 6-month Android development course at a local institute, which gave me my first real taste of software development.

My first job interview ended in rejection — honest feedback pointed to communication skills and confidence. Rather than discouraging me, it pushed me to improve. Within a few more attempts, I landed my first role as a PHP/HTML Developer at a private accounting software firm, where I spent six months building both technical skills and professional relationships.

A colleague’s move to a fast-growing multi-platform company opened a new door for me. After clearing their assessment rounds, I joined the team — and that decision changed everything. Working across multiple platforms and languages, I had real room to grow.

My first major task was setting up an OpenCart store. It took me nearly three weeks to ship my first website — a humbling but formative experience. About a month later, the team transitioned to WordPress, and that shift in 2017 marked the beginning of what would become my core career path.

Over the years since, I’ve gone deep into the WordPress ecosystem — custom theme and plugin development, performance optimization, and building full-featured websites and web applications. What started as a platform assignment became a genuine passion.
