Profiles

My first experience with WordPress was in early 2007 when I used it to power my personal blog. One of my issues with it was the massive overhead of CSS and JS files, and messy HTML output caused by badly written plugins and themes. I figured I could make things more efficient and programmed my own reusable framework to quickly build websites for customers. That lacked flexibility however, and when I was later reintroduced to WordPress during an internship, I fell in love with it. I learned how to make my own themes and plugins (still placing a high priority on efficient and clean coding using WordPress native functions), and converted my client websites to WordPress. Fast forward to 2017, my next step was to transfer all of my WordPress websites into an easily manageable multisite environment. In early 2018 I proudly made my first submission to the WordPress plugin directory with the Post to Google My Business plugin, and after a minor change to the slug, I was very happy to see it was accepted. Seeing the general public use something you’ve created and give feedback on it is really rewarding!
