WordPress Origin Story

I first encountered WordPress while building a travel archive for my hometown of Busan. What started as a personal project grew into a deeper interest in localization, documentation, and community building. As I explored the ecosystem, I realized how much WordPress thrives on the shared labor of contributors. Since then, I’ve been actively translating, archiving, and researching ways to make the Korean WordPress community more open and accessible.
부산의 여행 기록을 남기기 위해 처음 워드프레스를 사용하게 되었습니다. 개인 프로젝트로 시작했지만, 점차 로컬라이징과 커뮤니티 구조에 대한 관심으로 확장되었고, 오픈소스 생태계가 기여자들의 협업으로 유지된다는 점에 깊은 인상을 받았습니다. 이후 번역, 문서화, 커뮤니티 기록 정리 등 다양한 방식으로 워드프레스에 기여하고 있습니다.
