Bio

I’m Kausar Alam, a dedicated web developer, core contributor, and tech support specialist with nearly a decade of experience in WordPress. I began my career in 2014 as a WordPress web developer on Upwork, building customized web solutions for clients. In 2018, I joined Sweetgrass Marketing LLC, contributing to numerous successful projects over four years.

In 2021, I transitioned to a technical support role at DBL07, where I developed my troubleshooting skills. Since October 2022, I have been working as a Technical Support Specialist at Elegant Themes, providing live chat support to over 9,200 customers and achieving a 93% 5-star rating.

I am actively engaged in the WordPress community as a core contributor, plugin developer, and volunteer. I also serve as a Table Lead for the Contributor Day at WordCamp. My passion for supporting others includes providing technical assistance and contributing to open-source projects. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in this space.

Outside of work, I’m a proud father of three children.

WordPress Origin Story

My cousin, Yousuf Sultan, introduced me to WordPress, and he has been working as a Senior WordPress Developer since 2011. I started learning about WordPress from different sources, such as Google, YouTube videos, and the WordPress Community. Although I am still discovering new things about WordPress, I continue learning through resources like WordPress.org, Google, and YouTube.
