Hi, I’m Darren Kandekore, a seasoned Full-Stack Developer and WordPress specialist with over 15 years in the industry. Fitness enthusiast — Most days you’ll find me at the gym or out for a run. I even completed a 10K race, raising nearly £1,000 for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Creative producer — I love music production and am now branching into video production and podcasting, always exploring new ways to tell stories.

WordPress Origin Story

My journey began back in 1999, crafting websites from scratch using HTML in Dreamweaver. It was all manual coding, blank pages, and lots of creative experimentation. Then, in 2011, everything changed. I was invited to appear on the Sunday morning TV talk show The Big Question, hosted by Nicky Campbell. I’d hoped to share my ideas with a wide audience—but instead, I discovered WordPress… and, well, I couldn’t resist.

That weekend, instead of preparing for TV, I stayed up for 48 hours straight, diving into themes, plugins, and customisation. By Sunday evening, I was hooked—and I’ve never looked back. Since then, WordPress has become my go-to platform for creating dynamic, scalable, and user-friendly websites tailored precisely to each client’s needs.
