    Hi 👋 I’m Jordi, nice to meet you!
    I’m a father, a partner, and a front-end developer.
    Originally from Spain, I moved to The Netherlands 13 years ago. After several years working in the tourism industry, I made a career switch to web development some three years ago. Currently, you can find me working as a developer at Yoast SEO.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I first discovered WordPress in 2014 when I wanted to create a website to establish an online presence as a tour guide. A friend introduced me to WordPress and helped me set up my first site.
    A few years later, I hired a developer to create a second website, and I quickly became much more involved. It was during this time that I realized how much I enjoyed web development and decided to take the step into a new, exciting, and completely unfamiliar career.
    After studying front-end development, I gained experience as a developer working at two companies, but it wasn’t until I started working at Yoast in December 2023 that I truly grasped the power of open source and the incredible community behind WordPress.
