Bio

Jos is a DreamHost consultant, aiding with specific WordPress cases and actively contributing to the WordPress community, organizing local meetups in Bogotá, and promoting the testing and use of the WordPress Site Editor.

He builds websites exclusively with WordPress. He has been implementing web design for over fourteen years, encompassing front-end, back-end, and extensive configuration work. He studied Computer Systems Engineering at México, where he acquired fundamental problem-solving skills.

WordPress Origin Story

One day I visited the website of a non-tech student from my university. It was effortless for him to use and update, and I got mad; maybe I was just jealous because I built my blog using HTML tables manually and had to copy and paste each time I entered new content.

I saw his site was powered by a software called WordPress and understood there was a big opportunity in building and creating awesome things as a community.

From there, I started making blogs, and suddenly this software could add pages, not just posts. With a partner, I started building websites, and then I got so addicted to WordPress that I decided to make a living out of it.
