My web story started in Joomla in 2006, and for a long time that was the whole world. Client sites, maintenance contracts, and a slowly growing shelf of extensions under the Joomill name.

WordPress came in through the side door, and that door was YOOtheme Pro. I had been building custom elements for the YOOtheme Pro page builder on Joomla, and because YOOtheme Pro runs on WordPress as well, my work suddenly had a second home. The first thing I brought across was a small pack of extra builder elements: the same sticky buttons, copyright and reading-progress tools I was already using on my own sites.

I build the way I always have. Small, focused tools that solve one real problem instead of fifty imagined ones. Coming from another CMS left me with a useful outsider’s habit: not assuming how something “should” be done, only checking whether it actually works for the person using it.
