    I grew up in East Boston and now live in Stoughton, Massachusetts, with my wife, our three daughters, and our miniature poodle, Tico. I’m a real estate broker, a mortgage loan originator, and an investment advisor representative. My heart answers to ethics and morals while my brain answers to logic and reason.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I launched BowenBoston on WordPress.com in 2009 to write directly about Greater Boston real estate. BowenBoston grew to 57 published posts through 2012. VertPower brought me back to WordPress.com for 39 more posts in 2013. I’ve returned in 2026 to build and operate Jonathan Bowen dot Boston on a self-hosted WordPress installation; WordPress had grown from a practical business tool into my publishing infrastructure. Jonathan Bowen dot Boston preserves my earlier work, publishes my present work, and gives my next sentence room to land on your screen.
