    WordPress Origin Story

    In 2005 I discovered bbPress looking for GPL forum software that came with profile pages and hierarchical categories. I found BuddyPress shortly thereafter, and finally WordPress as a result. I logged into IRC, introduced myself, and started patching bugs – everything’s been awesome ever since!
