Bio

15+ years in software engineering, with 13+ years deeply embedded in the WordPress ecosystem. I am a Senior Developer who translates complex business problems into clean PHP code, optimised hosting setups, and high-performance technical SEO. Lately, I’ve been marrying AI with SEO to build automated systems that out-smart the algorithm. I pivoted heavily into data-driven SEO because Google’s ranking factors are way more logical than a client trying to decide on the perfect shade of blue.

Interests

Optimising messy code blocks, dissecting complex algorithms, turning heavy technical jargon into plain English, brainstorming witty bios for seasoned developers, analysing data trends, solving logic puzzles, and helping professionals confidently negotiate their worth.

WordPress Origin Story

Thirteen years ago, I wrote my first line of code inside a WordPress theme. If you threw a rock at a WordPress site back then, you’d probably hit a broken plugin, a hacked slider, or a mess of spaghetti code. It was the digital Wild West, and as a technical developer, I loved it. It was a giant puzzle waiting to be solved.

For over a decade, I stayed in the backend. While the digital world argued over frontend design trends, I was deep in the server rooms – optimising PHP, managing heavy-duty hosting environments, and making sure that when thousands of users hit a site at once, the server didn’t melt.

As the years went on, I noticed a massive problem in the industry: The Great Disconnect. Companies would hire developers to build a site, and then hire an SEO agency to market it. The SEO people didn’t understand code, and the developers didn’t care about marketing. The result? Slow, bloated websites that looked pretty but buried themselves on page 10 of Google.

That is when my origin story took a turn.

I realised that with 15 years of engineering experience, I could build something better. I pivoted my technical depth into Technical SEO and AI automation. Instead of fighting with clients over endless design changes, I started using data, AI frameworks, and core algorithm logic to turn WordPress sites into revenue-generating machines.

Thirteen years later, I’m still a developer at heart. I still believe clean code is art. But today, I build for the future of the web – where WordPress, AI automation, and technical SEO live together under one roof.
