    WordPress Origin Story

    In 2011, while enrolled in a web development program, I landed a practicum focused on a WordPress and BuddyPress project. Word quickly spread through my Facebook network that I was working with WordPress, and soon, clients began reaching out to me. Before I knew it, I had transitioned into a full-fledged WordPress freelancer—a journey that lasted seven fulfilling years.

    Following that chapter, I founded and led the #WPDiversity group, a group focused on diversity and inclusivity in WordPress Meetups and WordCamps. Our main focus was on empowering underrepresented voices to take the stage at these events.
