Bio

I am a rockstar programmer and can best be described as a man who thinks outside the box. My number one goal is to do the best job possible for a given task, meaning speed and efficiency both in the code itself as well as the work done to create the code. And I play a mean sax! 😉

WordPress Origin Story

I was first introduced to WordPress while working as the webmaster for the Computer Science Department at the University of Rhode Island. Not having much experience with PHP (they mostly taught Java and I had originally gotten into programming with flavors of Basic and C/C++), but with much ambition, I was able to do more than simply manage their web content; I added a faculty profile page onto the site, which allowed the faculty members to login and update their own information (publications, awards, etc.), which had previously been done by hand through content update requests.

I fell in love with the ease of use combined with the robust ability to extend the platform, and have used WordPress extensively in my web projects ever since.
