    Bio

    I’m a web developer from Toronto, Ontario. I have been running my freelance business since 2014 when I made a giant leap from a boring job to the exciting world of web development. Aside from building custom WordPress themes for small businesses and non-profits, I’m also an educator and have taught coding workshops for beginners of all ages with Canada Learning Code for 9 years. My most recent education project has been delivering a digital skills programme for the women of the Long Lake #58 First Nation where I have taught since 2018. I am passionate about art in any form, and Canadian politics.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I was introduced to WordPress at the Juno College bootcamp in 2014. The bootcamp back then was tailored to helping people become freelance web developers. WordPress gave me the necessary skills to make a living running my own business. It gave me the freedom to be independent and changed my life. From the first WordCamp I attended, I have been in awe of the generosity and kindness of the WordPress community. I haven’t known a more inclusive space online than this one.
